It's going to be interesting to see how the Rev does now that Uggla is on the DL. The Braves are still in desperate need of a utility infielder, Janish just won't cut it with the bat. If anything happened to Johnson or Simmons, we wouldn't be sitting pretty. It looked like DeRosa was the guy but the Jays pulled him back.

Hammels was a good test of the pitching the braves will see in the playoffs, lets hope they get better results then.

Well once again the Braves take the series from the Nats as Gwinett wins today, 2-1

And on top of that, Beachy has been scratched from his next start to visit Dr Andrews again...that doesn't sound good. This team can't catch a break with injuries this year.

Looks like we are looking at a Kershaw/Medlen duel on Thursday. I think Freddy went into cruise mode way too early and it cost us the best record in the NL.

Dan and BJ continue to be horrible, so it'll be interesting to see how they factor into the playoffs. With McCann hurting, we won't exactly be going in at full strength anyway.

This should be good, Kershaw and Greinke are pitching extremely well but Dodger bats have gone mostly silent.

Good Luck Atlanta, may the best team win.

I think this series can be a sweep either way. Both teams have been pretty streaky and have the potential for a quick exit or get hot and go all the way. Should be interesting.

Looks like the braves are already sending a message, Uggla is not on the roster.

Well win or lose, at least I get to see Kate Upton in a Braves jersey

Sadly, she might have a shot at a better average than BJ if she played.

Is the Braves' defense always this pathetic?

Gonzalez sacrificed defense to avoid putting the disappointment that is BJ Upton on the field. Noboby in the OF was at their natural position and Gattis is a C/1B playing Left. He'll need to put Schafer in there if he does to want the same mistakes.

Gattis looked like a rookie last night.

One of the biggest injuries no one talked about was when the Braves lost Pena for the year and never got a guy to replace him. So 2B will continue to be a whole for the Braves until they can move Uggla. The loss of Hudson looms large too, leaving a very good staff but no big game experience.

The good thing for the Braves is that, unlike last year, they will have another game to show they want it.

Get your Freeman jersey, he's about to named the official face of the franchise, reported 8 year, $125 million. It'll be nice to have him locked up.

Heyward also avoids the next 2 years of arbitration.

Kimbrel is the only one left.

She's dating Justin Verlander now. That lucky s.o.b.
