The Sanitary in Morehead City. Haven't been in a long time and I've heard that it's not as good as it used to be.

Sanitary isn't as good as it used to be, no. The new place to go for seafood around here is right across the street; it's called the Ruddy Duck.

Provision Company and Captain Pete's in Holden Beach.

Nothing as good as off my grill though after a successful fishing trip.

I remember camping in the Smokies as a kid. We would catch trout and have them on the frying pan for dinner 20 minutes later. It doesn't get fresher than that.

Pretty much anywhere in the small town of Calabash, North Carolina. It borders NC/SC on the coast.

This is the official website for the Town of Calabash, North Carolina-"The Seafood Capital of the World".

Calabash was incorporated in 1973. At that time, Calabash was a small fishing village with a handful of seafood restaurants. We have since grown into a small town with a year-round population of 1,831 residents. Currently, there are over 30 restaurants in town serving people from all over the world each year.

Like most places, reviews vary based on the server...most of my experienes have been great. The deviled crab is my personal favorite.

I'm heading to Ocean Isle tomorrow and will likely be dining in Calabash!
