I am sure Carolina will have tons of different strategies based on how the draft unfolds....with as deep as this draft is at DT and CB ( first 2 rounds).

What about giving up next years first to get into the top of round 2.

Get Kuechly, best DT and best CB on the board?

I am normally not a fan....I think there will be some good players that fit needs in the early 2nd. We also dont have 3rd this year.

Plus, this will really be Riveras first year of camp and getting bodies he wants for his scheme. Could be something to prep for....Hurney is Hurney.

All depends on how the draft unfolds....can't go in committed to do it just bc

I wouldn't mind giving up next year's 2nd round pick for a 3rd rounder this season.

There's no telling what we could get with next years 1st. So, no.

No thanks. Everybody always thinks OMG this is a once in a lifetime draft class that is soooo deep we need to take as many guys here as possible, until you realize next year will be just as stacked. I'll pass.

Just throwing it out there....we don't have a 3rd this year. Rounds 4-7 haven't really produced much of anything in our history. This is a big year for Rivera in terms of building the team he wants....he actually has an offseason. I think it is a possibility.

I think we need more than 2 picks out of the first 100 guys on the board......if we didn't have a new coach/scheme then maybe not. If not getting another 2nd then finding a way to get a 3rd.

Nooooooooooooooo ! We have the No 8 pick in the second round. I wouldn't mind trading our pick in the first round to a mid first and getting an extra pick in the second or third rounds. We will still get a starter in the mid first and good potential in the second
round. After the second round we usually don't fair well. No trading up. That how we got Edwards and Everret Brown and lost our picks.

It depends on who's there, but those guys always fall for a reason. I think a lot of people would have been cool if we had done that last year for Bowers, and that would look pretty bad right now.
