Rather have a top ten pick and trade our second round and whatever to gain another pick in the first since we don't draft well in the second and do well in the first. More quality. Not less. Who would want such low picks. Its like giving up your A or B+ for a B or C+

Unless they are willing to throw in there first from next year as well then hell no. Stupid Patriots stop trading away other teams first round picks.

Yea, fug this trade. All the pieces are coming together for us to get Claiborne. We don't need to pass that up, plus we don't need to fool around with the patriots.

I think our pick at #9 still allows us to get a cornerstone player for the franchise and trading back to 27 or 31(or wherever the Pats are) is just too far down the line.

That's a really crap spot to be in. At 9 you've got some good talent not to mention the possibility one of the top 8 talents falls to you.

I definitely would not do it until draft day when it was our turn to pick, and I probably wouldn't even do it then.

Regardless of how nice of a deal we can come up with...this is the Patriots we're talking about. They can sell a ketchup popsicle to a kid in white gloves. I really don't trust Hurney's ability to deal picks.

1,350-9th
86- 104th

680-27th
600-31th
124-94th

i would absolutely do this trade.

caliborne is probably the only guy i would pass up on this trade for, but even then the team might be better off gaining those two earlier picks, esp. considering the talent that will be available still.

Very true.

This is a DEEP draft for cornerbacks.

Behind Claiborne, there are Jenkins and Kirkpatrick (of course), but also Gilmore, Boykin, Minnifield, Dennard. Hell, you can probably get a guy like Trumaine Johnson in the 2nd or even the 3rd round.

DEEP draft for cornerbacks.

I'd pass on 27+31, I'd make them throw in a 3rd rounder as well or no deal. Then I'd most likely go DT, DE, OLB with those first 3 picks and take a CB in the 3rd (possibly another in the 4th). Draft is ridiculously deep with CBs and we only need a #2.
