Hell to the No. If we draft a TE, fire Hurney on the spot.

I'd like Shockey to stay, but not at $4 mil, if that's true.

Shockey is a must re-sign! Not sure why we don't cut Ben Hartsock?

Can't afford to do this.

That would give you Olsen, Shocket, Barnidge, and Hartsock....yes, Hartsock stays because of his play at H Back.

Can't afford to carry 4 TE's.

You can if you have a kicker that can punt :). We'll see about that 1 though.

TE's are valuable on ST's though, I dont see the harm in 4 of them. Especially not in an offense that revolves around them.

Even if Shockey leaves, I'm confident Chud can get creative to keep firepower on the field. DWill, Smitty, Gettis/Lafell, Olsen at their normal positions... then Stew at Slotback. He's got the skill set and it would add another dimension that teams won't know how to defend.

I think Shockey did good for us last year...Him and Olsen are a good combo.

I have faith in Barnidge. I still wouldn't mind a TE in the late rounds or a FA TE but I believe Barnidge has a big future with Chud here and I think the front office agrees because they extended Barnidge two years while he was on IR.
