Torture Brings About Valuable Confession...

The terrorist

what terrorist? did we capture a terrorist? how do we know where his family is? Where did we catch him? Is he from the same group? when was the last time he was in contact with them? what rank is he in the group? do we actually know? is the information on his background reliable? is there a chance he doesn't actually know the info you're looking for? Is there a chance that he was fed false information to throw us off track?

The biggest problem with interrogation is that the interrogators must TRUST the information which they are getting from the subject, the best way to be able to do that is to develop an exchange with the subject. Torture simply doesn't yield reliable info often enough to be a viable interrogation tool, the CIA and comparable organizations have said as much numerous times.

Please folks, come clean and tell us you approve of torture because of the revenge factor. It's the only logical reason to use it.

Personally I'd just work to convict the baddie and sentence him for life without parole....in a New York City prison.

If it was simply revenge I'd say shoot the bastard and bury him with pigs, then send that video to Al Jazeera.

Well I'd say that thats the only recruiting tool for Al Queda that might have a better chance of success than having GW Bush as the US President.

I love the liberal mindset.....someone perpetrates what happened to us on 9/11, and your strategy is to not do anything that might help them recruit more people. Do we just wait until all the active terrorists run out of suicide jackets and hope it goes away?

Is there any offensive measure you are willing to take?

Yes, going into Afganistan and removing the Taliban who supported the attackers. Not ignoring Saudi Arabia where most of the hijackers were from. Doing more to lessen Al Queidas influence in Africa.

You know, concrete, "on the ground" things...not YouTube snuff flicks.

Only one of those things you listed is concrete.
