i'm sure the part where a grown man murders a minor child in a high school parking lot will go over well considering recent events

The problem with vigilante justice is that you'll eventually end up with a paradox about what you're doing being a crime that also needs punishment...

Yeah, American pop culture sucks, and so do a lot of Americans in general... but nothing makes anyone better than anyone else... We all have vices and skeletons in the closet, and to enforce the finality of death upon someone because you don't like their values is a little too cromagnon for my tastes...

I say that as a strong defender of the 2nd ammendment, and a soon-to-be CCH holder in the state of NC...

It's just a movie, yeah... but you have to know that there are people out there that will be influenced somehow by it...

i'm not even worried about that nor do i find this movie particularly offensive.

this movie is just bad, lazy satire. it's porno for neckbeards who think that the world is holding a knife to their throat and forcing them to watch jersey shore. think pop culture is stupid? turn off your fuging TV and go outside. the best way to neuter it is to just not consume it.

It's just a modernized version of Falling Down, whereby the main character is just fed up with pop culture and it's negative impact on society. See it for what it is.

also not to mention that if i was a single guy who had just been diagnosed with a terminal illness i would probably be running across the country maxing out my credit cards on strippers and booze instead of killing people that i saw on TV who made me mad.

not really... Falling Down was more about a mental disorder brought on by trauma (losing his family to divorce) overtaking a person's ability to reason...

I'm also not worried about people doing stupid stuff because of this movie... Most people don't need a reason to do stupid stuff every day... and I agree with the comment about neckbeards turning off their TV...

Never thought about it before now...

If I had a gun to my head to chose between this or Project X. Probably neither.
