For example, if vilma get suspend, does his contract still count into the cap space or not? Bc how'd would they still be able signing players.

Satan. They aren't Saints, they are poseurs. It's Satan, I'm telling you.
That seems familiar...

There is an article about how the Saints have quietly restructured a couple of their contracts.

http://espn.go.com/b...-for-the-saintsOnce players begin suspensions, they don’t count against the cap. They’ll again count against the cap once they are reinstated, but their pro-rated salary for the games they miss won’t continue to count against the cap, because they won’t be paid for the games they miss due to suspension.
i also found elsewhere that if it's a team suspension (the team suspends them) it will count against the cap, but if it's a league suspension it won't.

It's killing you guys that even after Roger "The Hypocrite" Goddel tries to stop the Saints they continue to not only maintain their core team but are also getting better. I thought signing Grubbs was a great move but cannot believe that we picked up the Falcons best defensive player. Now we have signed 2 stud linebackers and one of the best run stuffing DT in the league. Combine that with keeping Colston and the soon to be announced Brees contract and this team is not only as good as last years 13-3 record but has improved dramatically on defense. Say what you want about losing SP but he has done such an incredible job at laying a foundation that the Saints won't miss a beat. SAINTS HOST AND WIN SB IN 2012, BANK ON IT!!!
hahaha, I thought you said the penalties were just going to be a slap on the wrist. why do you insult the person who only gave you a slap? anyway, Lofton is a 2 down linebacker, and while a good run stuffer, won't be able to cover TE's. combine that with your secondary losing people and the suspensions that will be in effect, you guys are effectively screwed.

That was my first thought...maybe the fact that they haven't signed Brees? If they do sign him, that's when I'll wonder how they're affording everything. In the mean time, all signs point to them saying fug it we franchised him.
