Don't buy the LD angle. If someone has an LD, and it is known, then generally all this is taken into account when tests are administered.

No, someone with a diagnosed learning disability can get an accommodation in the classroom, but not at the combine.

Yeah that's like saying NASA is gonna make picture books for the space manuals to accommodate LDs.

The best NFL players generally have middle of the road scores. But 4 is pretty low. Then again, there could be something to the argument that a corner thinking too much rather than reacting could be a detriment.

So "learning disabled" is what the pc police call complete idiots now. Good to know.

having a learning disability doesn't mean you're an "idiot" and being an "idiot" doesn't mean you have a learning disability

for example: you're pretty dumb, but there's no reason to think that you have a learning disability

Getting a 4 on the wonderlic means you're an idiot. Maybe you also have a learning disability, but that doesn't make you not an idiot.

yeah their stupid, they are about to make millions of dollars a year to play 16 games, you work your ass off to bring home minimum wage. yep they are so stupid.

Hate to disagree, but I think it's better not to have been "rich", than to be rich and end up broke. See link.
You can also take a gander at this link. Regarding the broke and/or unemployed ones, they can't be the swiftest of the lot.
To have hundreds of thousands pass through your hands and end up broke is either stupid and/or ignorant.

nice, so claiborne has a learning disability and PFT uses him as a poster child for how some student athletes aren't students? assuming that is true, it is pretty fuging shitty to dog on him.read and process things.

They did it to Cam too. Pft doging someone makes me want them more.

Clears throat

I wasn't clear on my point. At the combine, while accomidations are "available," they are rarely used. And that's for several reasons, but the biggest is that the combine is not really set up to truly accommodate players with LD's. The problem is that players' schedules are so regimented and hurried that they really don't have much time to take advantage of any accommodation. As an example, when players arrive, they go through processing, then some will go straight to complete the wonderlic, then as soon as that is completed, they are ushered to their medical evals, then they are quickly taken to be measured and weighed, then they have lunch, meetings with teams, other commitments such as meeting with potential sponsers, the media, combine staff to go over the egenda, etc. The point is that these prospects are in such a whirlwind that taking extra time to complete the wonderlicc is not really feasable. Heck, more than one combine attendee has talked about how overwhelming and exhausting the whole process is and that they barely even remembered taking the wonderlic.

So while accommodations are technically available, they are not a realistic option for most players who have such a tight schedule and many commitments...and it's even worse for the higher profile prospects, such as Claiborne. Like anything, context has to be taken into consideration when passing judgement.
