The best LB in the country...So being the best LB in the (suckass) ACC is better then being the Best DT in (7time champion and best league in college) SEC?
Panthers Apparently "love" Luke Kuechly

And again I ask What makes Kuechly a safer pick then Cox?
DT(productive, good tape)= still a high bust rate. Plus we picked 2 last year. They were put into a bad situation. Give them some time.
LB(with like 10 awards)= safer pick.
Obviously, this is just my opinion. Means nothing.

Averaging 16 tackles a game in Division 1 football regardless of it being the ACC, is kicking some serious ass.

Are you going to tell me that any of the linebackers we picked up so far are starter material. Plus you are wrong about no impact players at DT. Edwards will be an impact player and Shirley was very good in limited action. He had 2 1/2 sacks in 4 games. Neblett had 23 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks as well.
Cox will likely not make a huge impact this year at all. How many first year DTs do? Linebacker have a much better chance to do well right off the bat versus DTs. Look at Sedrick Ellis for the Saints and McCoy for the Saints. Both considered impact players who have struggled for the most part.
You said lack of action at that position. Signing or tendering 4LB really goes against that statment.
Are you serious???
Edwards at best is a 2 down run stuffer and Shirley did a OK job but dude was looking for a Job most of the season.

Your boy said "lack of action" no matter how you feel about them signing them was a action for that position.
Signing special team players who happen to be classified as LBs and Applewhite who is used as a DE equates to no real action to update our linebacker corps.

No, being the best linebacker in the country is better than a DT in a less than dominant class of guys.So being the best LB in the (suckass) ACC is better then being the Best DT in (7time champion and best league in college) SEC?

Well right now Cox is consider the Best DT in the draft,
That's not unanimous.
Kuechly is clearly unanimous.

Well right now Cox is consider the Best DT in the draft,
In a class of guys without any dominant players like a Suh.

So they won't be used as back-ups at all right?? They are just LB by name they can't play LB you're right.
Again I ask who were the Giant's LB's.

What the hell is Kurb sad for ?
I don't like the pick.
I would prefer a later round LB'er for backing up.
If we did not resign Davis I would be a tiny bit more comfortable.
He reminds me of a Curry/AJHawk/DanConnor kinda "cant' miss" guy.

So you want a guy that can help on our Sub package defense then a guy who can help our BASE and Sub package defense?
I remember early in the season before our d was dismantled by injuries we ran some crazy packages. Later in the year it seems like that faded because we didnt have the right bodies to do it effectively, part of the reason our d sucked. We couldnt do what we wanted. I believe our d is headed in that direction, Ingram fits that mold better than cox.

Yeah because there will be 5 4-3 lb drafted in the 1st round right?
No but there might be 5 Dt drafted but yes this is a weak year for DT. That's why Devon still is rated to go in the late 20'.
