Agree. He fits better with someone like Pitts, Packs, or Jets.I like Ingram. I just think as a 4-3 base team it's a harder fit to make. If we were a 3-4 base team I would be all over it.
We would not be doing a favor for us or Ingram by drafting him. He's not a 4-3 end. Hes more of a 3-4 olb imo and if we were going DE, I'd rather have Coples.
But I'd still be happy with him.

....so with that said whats not to like?! He is way more safe than Coples IMO...we just have the Everette Brown burn fresh here and Eric Norwood(Gamecock) was a star in the SEC who has a slow nfl start...but neither were the same prospect or as highly regarded as Ingram.
Norwood is a tweener and Everette Brown slipped terribly before the draft with major red flags...

How many tweeners does a 4-3 team need?

Would you call Hardy and Johnson tweeners too? All of them are practically the same size.

u know were switching to 3-4 right?
We'll use the 3-4 with the all black uniforms, and the 4-3 with the regular uniforms.

Norwood weight 240, Keiser 260, Applewhite 260. Ingram played last year at 264, now 276. Johnson and Hardy are both in the upper 270 ranges. The question becomes whether or not Ingram can maintain that bulk without affecting his speed, and whether he'll be a good run defender. There's no evidence to support either claim. Even if he is the same size as Hardy, the worst run defending right end in the NFL, that's not necessarily a good thing.Would you call Hardy and Johnson tweeners too? Bottom line, he's short and small. Not a big fan of taking him in the top ten with those measurables.

When did he gain 12 pounds. At the combine he was listed as 6'1" 264 lbs and ran a 4.79 40.
