Now here is a video of NFLN talking about the same thing. The wr that Blackmon is comp. to were taking later in the 1st round. Him and Floyd are just lucky to come out in a year where there is no elite talent (with production in college) coming out this year but a lot of team in the top 15 need WR.

I don't believe anyone has ever said that the guy was on the level of a AJ Green [Go Dawgs!] or Julio Jones...not that anyone knows. But he is solid at his position and will probably only help the team that drafts him. It's like someone told you before, the problem is that there is really no so-called "elite" talent at any of the positions that we need (IMHO). But, why are you still talking about this? We won't get a chance to draft Blackmon because he'll be off the boards.
I hope that Hurney and company take an open-minded, wait-and-see approach to the draft. If the opportunity presents itself to trade down, that my be the best play, but if we draft at number nine, then I hope that we draft the BPA. If the FO deems that that is Blackmon, then so be it.

Thank God for a rookie wage scale.

I will agree that AJ Green is a separate league than Blackmon and Jones. I just happen to like Blackmon better. But that's just my opinion from what I have watched.

Oh, now you want to summon the voices of the talking heads...?

Stop being mad because the talking heads agree with me. We debated all night and I was just wating for them to compare draft Class wr.
Like I said Blackmon is in the range of Nicks and Bowie again that's not bad he is still a 1st round talent. But not top 10 you got to have talent that changes your team. He would be a luxury pick for us and right now we can't afford to make luxury picks.
The only reason he and Floyd are getting Mock so high because there are a couple teams in the top 15 picks that have a desperate need for a wr.

Nicks and Bowe are great wrs.
If Blackmon is being compared to them, then he could be better than Julio.
No one ever said he was better than Green.
And of course that's how the drafts are every year. Teams drafting in the top are taking who they need, not who they want. Nicks and Bowe dropped because teams needed other positions. If you go back and do a redo draft, I'm positive that both Nicks and Bowe are going much higher than where they were taken.

Guess what? No one knows who is going to be an elite talent. These are just guesses. Most times they are right, a good deal of times they are wrong. Saying a player isn't elite because he isn't just like player A or player B means nothing. Alshon Jeffrey may turn out just as good as AJ Green, however we won't know that till the lights are up and the playing starts. It also has to do with the system that is being run, the situation in place, and the individual player. Saying the top 15 is shortsighted at best.
And bump to this 10000000x.
Couldn't said it any better. This post ends here.
Not much of a debate.

Both were drafted in the 20's still 1st round talent but not team changing talent.
