OMG Beason was hurt!!! Thomas Davis is not reliable, for some reason you all think Ron Edwards is gonna come in and save the day, he's not. He's coming off age and already near the cutoff for DT's, he never was impact player.
I can't take you seriously. You just said Thomas Davis isn't reliable, Ron Edwards is a cutoff DT.. and was never an Impact player.. Wow.

most you act like the only thing you know about football what you do on Madden.
Then when some doesn't agree with you, now your being told not to criticize. Gotcha.

I struggled to find a good topic for what I have said below....that being said, here it is.
"why didn't we trade for the Bengals linebacker"
"we've got to add an impact player through free agency"
Adding free agents isn't as simple as having the room under the cap, and signing any and every decent player available. Ya can't just throw bodies to the pile.
The coaches, GM, and scouting department all know what they have to do to improve the team moving forward.
They know who is available. They also have to decide how any player they add will fit with the team.
Rivera kmows defense. He knows what he is doing. Hurney isn't going to get players for the sake of getting players. He's only going to seek out players that the head coach says he needs.
The draft is still ahead of us.
The Panthers don't know who they're going to end up in the draft. Something always happens in the first half of the first round, that has a ripple affect on the rest of the draft.
After the draft, there is bound to be a few more small signings to fill roles that weren't addressed in the draft.
The Panthers have a plan.
I know it's fun to debate the possibilities, but so many I see are being very judgemental on what they feel should or shouldn't be going on.
At the end of the day, we're fans, and we are to enjoy the ride.
I wonder how many of you can even do that.
I don't sit around with my friends playing couch GM, bitching about all the moves of my respective sports teams. That's why I come on here is to discuss anything Panthers related.
If they missed on a draft pick, we can and should talk about it here.
If we think Newton will have a sophomore slump, we can and should talk about it here.
If I feel Deangelo Williams contract will hinder the franchise for the next three years, I can and should talk about it here.
If I feel like Cam should be on the cover of Madden, i can and should talk about it here.
If I feel like the Panthers should get every single free agent available, I can and should talk about it here.
If I have been wrong this whole time about the purpose of a Panthers messageboard, please let me know and point me in the direction of where I should be going to discuss these various topics. It would truly help, because in my real life daily conversations, the Panthers come up in the convo zero times, so I have no where else to go talk about this stuff.

I don't feel any subject is off limits.
Just seems like some take it to extremes.
I'm positive that we botb passionate about Panther football.
I criticize Hurney and company at times.
Although I don't pretend to know more about his job than he does.
I end this post by saying I hope that Rivera and hurney nail the 2nd pick this year, cause it would be nice to get two quality starters for this up coming season.

there's a very fine line between realistically acknowledging the epistemologically hapless position of the average fan and spewing baseless opinion. unfortunately few posters seem to find that happy medium.
So true.

If not, why make the statement?
