Everyone we have drafted worked out pretty well.....people bitched when Beason was drafted. So we shouldn't of drafted him either?
We've gotten like 3 starting seasons out of davis and morgan missed more games than he played here
So no i don't think it's worked out great for us
And now people want to spend the 9th overall pick to "cover our bases" at the linebacker position while we've literally got nothing behind Gamble at corner and a bunch of misfits at defensive tackle.

Would saying "I love you" be going too fast?

Beason, Morgan and Davis all are or were great talents.....poo happens in terms of injury.
Drafting Luke isn't much different than when they opted to draft Beason. Scheme is now more LB driven than back then.....
Beason and Luke could both play all 3 spots....would just have to get settled in. That is a good thing. Don't get too focused on MLB.

exactly, just like more talent ad CB won't matter if the dline isn't playing well.dont matter how much LB driven the scheme is if they guys upfront are not getting it done.build upfront first.
Beginning of last season, everybody thought the giants were in trouble due to injury, and lack of talent at cornerback. There pass rush is what carried that defense.

yep,and the crazy thing is they are getting mocked another DE or pass rusher by some.pass rush makes everybody look good.exactly, just like more talent ad CB won't matter if the dline isn't playing well.

The Giants model is not really perfect. They miss the playoffs every other year in a weak division. When they do get in it's on the last day of the season. All credit to them, they got hot at the right time twice. Doesn't make it the perfect formula for success.
Giants had the 27th ranked D last year....
