He is looking like a great risk/reward prospect in the 4th round right now, if he is there at our 4th i think Rivera takes a shot on him.

Witch our issues at cb i ****** this guy in the second and not look back. He potentially Is the best cover corner in the draft. Iron out the kinks in his character and he's a keeper. Surrounding him with the right people is a big part of that.

The way i look at it his stupidity is his loss and our gain... He was projected top 15 and now drifting to the second round. Pull the trigger hurney.

Been hearing that for years and have yet to see it.

This is a tinderbox discussion, so I will say this, and leave it alone.

It is easy to think that it will never be legal in the Carolinas because they are so "Bible-belt". But, most states are starting to look into the issue. Here in florida, and in alot of other states, decriminalization is brought up alot in our state government, along with a lot of other states too. It wont be long before the Feds cave in.

It's pathetic that this guy's whole career is going to be ruined because of marijuana. What is even sadder is that weed will be legal soon. If he was about to get drafted 5 years from now, it would be a non-issue.

He is just going to have to suck it up, and find a new hobby, so that he can make his millions. If he cant do that, then he is the biggest idiot in the world.

It is not weed that is doing him in....in his him showing the NFL FO's that his decison making skills are lacking and he just does not learn from his mistakes.

He is PacMan Jones all over again.

Well I hope that is true. ;)

Only 11 days until the draft. Time to finally let out some truths. Janoris Jenkins didn't tell any team that he smoked while at N. Alabama. Jenkins has been drug tested every two weeks since leaving Florida and hasn't failed one of them.

You can believe what you want but it's easy to overreact and only hear the negative.

This is a pretty good article on the Jenkins situation:

Onto the weed charges, the ones everyone makes a huge deal about without hearing the whole story.Jayson Braddock reported yesterday that his first arrest was for less than a gram of marijuana and it held a $351 dollar fine.

His second marijuana-related arrest came from the same police officer, who smelled weed in a car that Jenkins was a passenger in. The driver of the car allowed a search and they found a “roach” in the ash tray. Jenkins was not the driver and was the only person arrested from the car. That fine was for $416.

.....

Lets not pretend that Jenkins will be the first NFL player who got in trouble, or smoked weed in college. A recent report came out that Aaron Hernandez and Brandon Spikes both failed drug tests in college. Randy Moss, Warren Sapp, Santonio Holmes, Ricky Williams: all players who were rumored to or were caught smoking.

Two incidents of late seem to have sparked even more controversy with Jenkins, first that he fired his agent weeks before the draft. This is far more common than you think. Agent Greg Linton said on twitter that multiple players have switched agents in the past few months. It’s just something that usually goes unreported.

Jenkins was represented by CAA, a huge agency that wasn’t dedicating enough time to him. Ian Rapoport recently wrote about his switch at length. Jenkins was not fired as was misreported, he chose to switch agencies to get more personal attention.

The next falsehood being reported is that Jenkins told teams that he kept smoking while at North Alabama. Braddock reported that Jenkins has been drug tested every two weeks since leaving Florida and hasn’t failed a single one.

The lesson? Don’t believe everything you hear around draft season. Teams are constantly trying to throw out false information to get other teams scared. Jenkins is a player with a lot to question in his background, and throwing out more questionable information will only lower him on teams’ boards.

Weed won't be legal in 5 yrs. Shouldn't be. Go smoke it quietly and don't get caught.

No way to enforce responsible usage like with booze......you cant measure how high someone is if they are behind the wheel of a car for example

horrible excuse to bury one's head in the sand.. just look for people driving 20 mph under the speed limit.. ;)

Someone needs to tell him about K2 the synthetic weed........seriously it will be a team with picks to spare like the Patriots that can afford to take a risk on him unless he can convince someone otherwise
