those who make good highlight videos will tell you that the topic of the video dictates what music should be selected, not just selecting music and putting highlight clips to it. Thats why theres so many bad highlight videos on youtube.

i did this last year...it just had to be done. Its just a copy of my other video with the Superman theme. Surprisingly it turned out alright.

those who make good highlight videos will tell you that the topic of the video dictates what music should be selected, not just selecting music and putting highlight clips to it. Thats why theres so many bad highlight videos on youtube.

This is actually accurate. I think I can speak for most of us when I say we'll pick a theme for the video, then figure out what would be the best song to represent the theme.

For example, my sig displays Cam highlights to the music of Beat Mode by B.o.B, which talks about how nobody thought he'd amount to anything, yet he was able to overcome the odds and become the beat that he is today.

The music sets the tone to the video.

Its all cuts, edits and transitions. Making it seamless with accurate sequences. Its equal parts, they feed off each other...video n music. Its the person who creates the personal perspective and feeling of the vid. The signature video in smitty89 proflie still gives me chills.
