Agreed,

Oklahoma City did it in a few months so there is recent NBA history that indicates the process does not have to take two years as reported.

If the re brand happens, the NBA Commissioner could coordinate the process so New Orleans and Charlotte re brand simultaneously.

However, New Orleans will have to decide on a new brand rather quickly to be ready for next season and still give Charlotte time to react.

I can't remember if it was in the article that John posted or it may have been the Gaston Gazette article or a Bonnell tweet, but Silver also said that it likely would not take 2 years to rebrand us to the Hornets because the NBA already owns the rights so it would be a much easier transition.

Read that too. Seems like both organizations would require most of the off season to transition. If it is going to happen this year, I suspect we will hear something NLT the NBA draft.

I don't know how you get the implication that i think the nonexistent Hornets are whites only when you can't see what you say implies the Bobcats are blacks only. If I'm calling you out for racism, I'd be a pretty big hypocrite to be racist myself.

Went to the Fort Bragg Fair Sat. nite and saw two guys wearing brand new (or at least looked that way) Charlotte Hornets caps. Perhaps other areas of the state are getting in on this hype.
