Yeah. He's a Free Agent. The longer he sits out there, the better chance we have at signing him on the cheap.
My guess is this: the staff feels pretty good about Barnidge's abilities, and we *may even draft a TE in the 4th.
If Shockey sits out there, he'll come back for 1/2 of what he's asking.
If not then oh well. Just my opinion though

Yet you posted in this thread.
Anyways, Shockey is waiting to see if he can get a substantial offer. He will surely wait until after the draft and hope some teams have some needs. If he doesn't get any decent offers there's a good chance he will re-sign with the Panthers.

like people have said, I'm sure Shock's asking price is too high for the panthers (either in money or number of years of the deal). If no other team shows interest I'm pretty sure he will be back

Agree with what everyone says about bringing him back on the cheap. That said I think Barnidge could thrive in this offense. He was never really a Fox style TE in my opinion. I'd like to see what he can do out there with this style.
