What's your problem with Al Jazeera out of curiosity?

Simple, I don't trust a middle eastern government funded news outlet. I am unsure of their long term intentions as they have created this english outlet and are trying to build a traunch here...

Just like any other major news source. I was trying to see if his reason was because it was from the middle east, so I could laugh at him. Personally, I think it's crap just like Fox News/MSNBC/BBC is crap, but not because of it's host country.

Well change your laugh to a snicker, because I don't trust it because it is a "Government Funded" middle east news outlet...

It's owned by the small middle eastern state of Qatar, but if you trust the international news community, it has won numerous awards for it's coverage as well as awards for being unbiased and avoiding censorship.

I don't give two shits about Al Jazeera, it's biased and bought just like any other major media outlet, but it plays to the same powers that European and US major media does and is certainly not biased towards muslim or middle eastern leanings.

if it was what SP says it is... it wouldn't be a move to smear the US but a move to hurt BP.... Which isn't entirely out of the question.

Qatar was a British Protectorate until the 70's when it gained independence. It is the worlds richest nation, with the highest GDP per capita. Most of this is because of oil. BP has had contracts with Qatar since it gained it's independence and their relationship grows still. BP has international offices in Qatar.

dependence is not the same thing as love.

but that's more of a stretch than billions of gallons of toxins dumped into our fisheries are causing horrific mutations.

Uh, yes I did, please enlighten me as to why they aren't a threat to national security....considering the number of factions within the country as it exists now that are not friendly to us....
