Kuechly will be good. I like the pick. Davis won't be back unless he beats the odds. McClain will be better. We'll draft a DE in the 2nd, A decent corner in the 4th/5th. Looking good. B)

I don't like it. No WR, no DT. Bad pick

I think my relief that it wasn't Coples was enough to make me happy with anything. Still, I love the security with taking a can't-miss guy like this.

Kuechly is a stud. Does remind me of Urlacher. We can now help stop the run and cover big, fast TE's. It's a win win!

Never ever, since I have been have been a Panthers fan, have we picked a guy that I wanted months in advance of the draft. Not only wanted, but practically begged to get. I love Beason, and I hope he comes back ready to go. But Kuechly, he is a special player. I am so excited for this guy to be part of Panther Nation, I can't even explain. Those that aren't, give it time, you'll come around soon enough.

What happens if Jon Beason, Thomas Davis, and James Anderson all have breakout years?

I like Kuechly a lot. I'd like him a lot more if he didn't play a position we already have a franchise guy at.

On the plus side, I believe our scheme relies a lot on solid LB play, which is one of the main reasons are defense sucked so bad last year.

I hope you guys are right. Because i really hate this pick. He doesnt even come in as a opening day starter unless someone goes down. Dont get me wrong great player, but my gut tells me this wont improve our defense much.

We damn well better. I'm pretty sure no other team has three 1st round picks and a 3rd round pick as their top 4 LB corps.

Those picks are sunk cost. I've said it before that we shouldn't make decisions based on where we've spent picks before. It's a good pick at position of huge need.

Beason and Anderson are sunk cost?! I could understand that said about TD, but Beason and Anderson are still paying dividends. Your comments are relevant to our DT group, not LB.

Must admit, the comparison's to Urlacher have me excited. I didn't see him play any college ball, but I have full trust in Rivera to know a stud LB when he see's one, and like another poster said, I was on the anyone-but-Coples train, and that delivered.

Best LB Corps in the NFL!

I'll take it!

One step up from having the best FB in the NFL. That normally gets you to the Superbowl right?
