This Draft Is Better Than You Think

So far we have two starters. But the crowd wants flashy picks.

We would have had 2 starters regardless

I honestly think we did nothing but tread water this draft. I see the bucs greatly improving with the offseason people they signed and greatly through the draft. They fixed actual problems with their team. We got a guy in the first who is a great player but, unless TD or beason or anderson gets injured is on the bench. Nothing to improve the pass rush or pass coverage. SO you think we'll fix that in the second you know what we do...we go guard. In a league that has franchise qb's on every team we did nothing to combat that threat. More bree's throwing for first down on 3rd and 5 and now we can add the bucs to that list.

Past the first round hurney has made so many blunders that it's hard for me to be all that postive on the pick for OG.. all we can do is just wait and see how it pans out.

Legit statement.

Can't really evaluate a draft for a few years. No telling how the picks pan out. Huge busts high and late round guys having big success prove it is truly a crapshoot.

To all those hell bent on a CB, Hogan is healthy and has one year more NFL coaching in our defense than any corner in the draft. If the Panthers aren't trading away draft picks and moving up to get a corner, they obviously don't feel they need one as bad as some of you do.

    • Could be. Hope to be.  I see the big time potential in both. In my opinion-The biggest obstical I see (not only with them but in many young players) is their self confidence. Taking it from "flashing" to "breaking out" or "to the next level" is an imaginary obstacle that stands in the way of a lot of players with potential. To get over the hump, it can take a play, a game or a season to get their mind right with the confidence that they can perform at another level.  KB and Funch have good coaching and all the skills necessary to be the guy, but in the end, they are human too. Most won't admit but the majority of people perform in a "fake it till you make it" environment so to speak.   Lack of confidence or conversely, proving to yourself you can do it, is not only important to the average Joe like you and I but to them as well.  Some guys get over the hump and exceed their own expectations enough to where it becomes standard practice. Others never quite get that bit of confidence or courage to take it one step above their self imposed ceiling.  Im optimistic so I think these two guys can break through. We will certainly have a good read on their direction this season.  PS- Did I use enough quotations?
