They all comment that we did not address our primary need, DT. Here is why:

Andre Neblett, 23
Frank Kearse, 23
Sione Fua, 23
Terrell McClain 23
Jason Shirly, 26
Ron Edwards, 32

LB and G were bigger needs, but the media tends to forget about players on IR or the development of rookies. Oh, and if you wanted an elite DE:

Greg Hardy, 23
Thomas Keiser, 23
Eric Norwood, 23
Charles Johnson 25
Antwan Applewhite 26

I think the exact same way on the draft, but still don't know how Frank Alexander beats out Thomas Keiser for the active spot at DE, unless Antwan Applewhite is activated on gameday as a LB

Alexander looked explosive as hell on his highlight tape. Granted, it was a highlight tape but the dude looks quick.

Keiser was a great pick up for us. He's a hungry player with something to prove.

I think you can scratch off Norwood off that list.

love Alexander's explosive plays too and of course his tremendous wingspan will help him knock the ball out of QB's hand, even if he doesn't beat OT to the QB and his ability to knock down passes, but Keiser looked great with such limited playing time and the off-season should help his development even more; I just don't know who will be activated on Gameday

I heard that too. This was a RR pick. He said that Marty was evaluating Lewis and RR noticed Alexander on Marty's computer. RR also is the one who wanted Silalotu and JR Campbell, a pick Gil Brandt called, "stealing." Marty's GM skills were displayed when Fox was a lame duck and he drafted future stars like Clausen, Armanti, and Norwood--one heck of a draft. This team is getting a personality now/

I'm hoping the media thinks we need a DT the same way they all thought Cam would amount to nothing...

Only Charles Johnson has proven he can actually play.
