I said this in this thread already.

I can't recall who we were playing but Hogan knew he was beat so he jammed the receiver out of bounds, that receiver then came back in bounds and was the first player to touch the ball causing a penalty. That is a smart and heady play.

Hope Hogan turns into a great player, but that was the only play he made last year. It was against the Bucs.

that play occured in Houston that Hogan forced the WR out of bounds, it looked as if we were in a cover 2 bc he stayed in the flats.

Hogan looked solid, received praise several times in more than one game.. Obviously more is needed to be seen...

Hogan, Butler, Norman/Munnerlyn...

I remember which it was.. most people should... he was in bump and run, pushing the receiver completely out of bounds and what made it a heady play was he then ignored that receiver and focused back into coverage... QB threw the ball to the uncovered receiver which resulted in a penalty..

Sometimes I wonder if people here just repeat the latest football buzz word without knowing what they mean.

Frank Kearse is a nose tackle.

having frank kearse and ron edwards at DT wouldn't generate much of a pass rush but they gotta double team at least one of them allowing our LB to flow and have lanes to the backfield

Every time something about Hogan comes up in the media, I hear the coaches really like him. I wouldn't be surprised if he is our number two this year. Source- Steve Reed's twitter

I'll call it now....

Godfrey will not be out starting S by the end of the year. The worst tackling S in the NFL since he was drafted.....he isn't going to hang around as a starter long with Rivera. Rivera don't play. All these Ss didn't just come to compete with Martin. Don't put too much stock in Richardson's Martin comment.....it ain't just Martin who needs to be worried

Godfrey is a pretty good safety. His tackling is pretty solid. He stacks the box and helps out a lot in run support. He and James Anderson were the only true ones flying to the ball. They were always near the ball. And in coverage he's pretty good whens he's not making up for Martin or captain.

It may look like a lot of it is his fault but if u don't truly understand his assignments on certain plays then u don't know what his duties were. So IMO he's the best safety on this team by a very large margin

Oh yeah I'm not trying to act like I know what his assignments were on all plays I'm just saying u don't truly know if it was his fault or wasn't half the time.
