Bigger, stronger, faster, proven winner (Heismans, National Titles, etc.), but the biggest reason is this-Luck decided to play another year against amateurs despite knowing he'd be the #1 pick, while Cam decided to play against the best despite not being guaranteed of even going in the first round. SWAG.

In the spirit of this gridiron great thread:

I am so glad we drafted Kuechly because
1. His hair can be worn short or long. (It even curls when it grows out)
2. He can wear glasses or not. (Both 1 and 2 means he is versatile)
3. We all have fun trying to pronounce and spell his name.
4. Speaking of names, his middle name is August and coincidentally the month preseason starts.
5. He has great teeth and his voice sounds "dreamy".

All this of course means CHAMPIONSHIP

Are you as excited for training camp as I am!!!!

He looks way more "bad ass" with it short though.

None of you know what Luck will be at the next level, thanks for

my favorite thing about cam is the number of cowboys and redskins fans in the carolinas he's going to convert to the one true way.

I don't want them. They're tainted.

Realistically I think Luck is likely a next great prototype passer. While he is VERY athletic it is not really his nature to utilize said skills. He has a good arm, is smart, and has been hyped as the next John Elway.

Cam on the other hand has relied on his Athletic ability his whole career and we are lead to believe just recently started becoming a prolific passer. He has been down trodden as a "simple scheme" QB, and hyped as the next Jamarcus Russell.

Cam broke those claims into a million peices, Not only did he work on his ability to be a pocket passer, he used his long discovered athletic ability to bail out when the conventional things didnt work. Luck could be about as good as he is going to get, Cam is just scratching the surface.

Where Luck is the next John Elway, Cam has a solid choice of being the first Cam Newton. A standard to grade future QB's by.

Actually, I think Newton compares more closely to John Elway or Brett Favre than Luck does.

Luck strikes me more as the next Steve Young.

I'm speaking on what the media leads us to believe.

There is a LOT of Farve in Cam's game IMO.

Understood.

I see a lot of Roethlisberger and Vick comparisons too. Neither of those works for me. I've said Favre/Elway from pretty early on.

For Luck, the media comparison is nearly always Peyton. And as far as impact and potential it makes sense. Style-wise though, I see Young, not Manning.
