That's what I would argue with my Dad and friends who aren't Panther fans. I told them that if the Cats D last season was just AVERAGE....JUST fuging AVERAGE...Good chance Carolina gets into the playoffs. The STs basically lost 2 games for us all by themselves last year also.

BTW, Panthers won 6 games last year with the hardest schedule in the entire NFL at the time of it's release.

The 49ers went from 6-10 to 13-3 in one season. A lot of that is because they were something crazy like +26 in turnovers. If our defense can play reasonably well and get some takeaways, and Cam can cut down on his INT's, I don't see why 10 wins is so far fetched. People forget that except for ATL and the second NO game, we were in every game last year, and had a lead in the 4th quarter of many of our losses. We aren't as far away as people think.

He's a panther fan. He's earned the right to criticize the team. He's at least paid for the right to speak up by going to games and buying merchandise. I don't agree with his 8-8 assessment but I do agree with him that we need to pick up a veteran player after cuts. Hopefully a CB or kicker!
