Felix Sabates personal life is pretty impressive. He is a hard worker and a true business success story. A self made billionaire as well as a successful sports franchise owner.

I am surprised he was able to comment on the Hornets issue prior to the New Orleans sale being finalized.

He either isn't concerned about repercussions or he has been given approval to speak on the issue.

"NBA league officials contacted by WBTV were unaware of any effort to change the team's name."

Not suprising, my understanding is there is not supposed to be anyone in an "official capacity" talking about this issue until the sale of the New Orleans franchise to Tom Benson is finalized.

If the NBA league officials were unaware of Felix Sabates conversations with the media previously, they aren't now.
