So far this guy seems like the Blaine Gabbert/Ryan Tannehill of next year's class. Maybe he'll blow up this year though

Why didn't we bring in that QB from Oregon?

Cam did a ton of great things last year but he is still well short of a super bowl winning franchise QB. If Cam never improves from his rookie season he will be a disappointment. So I am excited but not blinded with homerism.

I'd take his performance last year on a consistent basis and never lodge the first complaint. Put a good D and ST around last year's offense, and this team goes places.

You may want to re-think those lofty standards.

While Cam certainly blew away the NFL this year with his work ethic, the biggest knock on him was his attitude. So I don't think the maturity questions that were raised are totally out of line. Cam did a ton of great things last year but he is still well short of a super bowl winning franchise QB. If Cam never improves from his rookie season he will be a disappointment. So I am excited but not blinded with homerism.

you right, Cam is the reason this team lost 10 games. rookie.

Btw, Kuechly is a choir boy.

Or he's smart enough to keep his nastiness to himself.

My grandfather, rest in peace, told me about Thomas and had me watch a game or two. He definitely isn't as crisp as Cam, but he fits that mold of a huge, mobile launching pad for the football that teams are beginning to covet.

I'm very interested to see how his career progresses.

Football is a nasty business, you don't win games with choir boys.

And you don't win games with thugs either. I have found that character and work ethic and dedication and buying into the team concept are related attributes of winners. I would even go on to say that championships are won by teams with high character, even if a few thugs enjoy the ride. What do Michael Vick, Ryan Leaf, and Art Schleister have in common? All NFL QBs, all have/had talent, all have multiple convictions that required incarceration, and none have a championship ring.
