anybody can be tough on the net bro.
Dude you said something stupid all I ask is that if you feel your opinion is right lets put a sig or Avatar bet on it. If you are wrong (which you will be) and Ron Edwards makes the roster (pretty much a inked in starter) you just get your sig or avatar change to something of my choosing. Your not losing money or anything like that. If you feel strong about your statement it shouldn't be that hard. Instead telling me how "anybody can be tough over the Net" just put your balls behind your opinion and take the simple bet.
Or just back off the stupid statement.

No I also go off of Ron's actions. During the middle of the season Ron was giving Ron Fields snaps at Fua position during weeks 4-7. Fields didn't start but he took some snaps away from Fua during this time.
This could be attributed to the fact that Fua is not a pass rushing tackle. So they took him out on passing plays/ situations . Regardless that does not contradict Riveras statement and has nothing to do with my argument. Fua showed flashes, that what was being argued.

Edwards and Kearse are the two NT's on the roster and the team needs at least two of them after the injuries last year.
McClain and Fua have spots because of the cost the team paid for them,
That leaves Neblett and Shirley fighting for the last spot. I'd probably give the edge in that one to Neblett for how long he's been here and there's got to be a reason that Shirley hasn't sticked with a team.

What F'n double team did you see him demanded or get? And since we were giving up 5.4 YPC when he was the primary NT and since his job was to "demand double teams and tie up blockers". 5.4 ypc means he wasn't doing his job.
Dude every NT faces double teams no matter how shitty they are. Fua faced several and whether he warranted them or not its a fact. Think about it this way, if we only rush 4 vs 5 offensive lineman a guard or center is going to be blocking air if they don't help double a defensive tackle and its generally the nose that they do that with.
You need to find some access to go back and watch the games. for 9.99 you can watch every NFL game dating back to 08 with full dvr control, coaches cam and commerce free straight from the NFL!
It is not possible to vividly remember who did what on every play from last season. Especially if your watching the games live because you are generally following the ball not individual players performances. I have learned a lot from going back and watching the plays over again and anybody does with that intent will.

It was weeks 3-8 that Fields played and he took away playing time from Mcclain just as much. I literally just got done watching the first Falcons game and saw Fields and Fua playing side by side on several of the rushing downs for the falcons. And before anyone makes a dumbs remark about Turner burning us because of that, not true. We got crushed by our safeties (mainly Pugh) getting engulfed by their full back on outside runs and then a collection of missed tackles.

The problem with that thinking is Fields wasn't a pass rusher either. Dude has 1 sack in a 7 years career.

The breakdown goes like this.
IF we carry 6 DTgoing by the skill sets McClain and Nebblet are the only 3 tech (not counting CJ and Hardy who can play 3 tech) on the team so IMO they both might be safe.
The problem for Shirley I see is we have 4 NT (or 1 Tech DT) Edwards is the starter then you have Fua and Krease. Now if we carry 6 DT then Shirley's ok. But if we only Carry 5 DT the battle will be between Krease, Fua, and Shirley.

I have watched and too many times Fua and Mcclain were single block leaving the other guard or center free to get to the 2nd level and F'up our LB. That's why we were giving up 5.4 YPC when those 2 were the primary DT's.

The point was you said Fua was never doubled. I corrected you, as he was multiple times.

You done nothing to correct me because you have no proof. I didn't see a double team on either of them.
