Overall grades. Can't post whole chart as it won't display legibly.

Highest ranked grades in order
1. Demario Pressley(40 snaps)
2.Jason Shirley (97 snaps)
3. Frank Kearse(172 snaps)
4. Ogemdi Nwagbuo (90 snaps)
5. Ronald Fields(145 snaps)
6. Sione Fua (408 snaps)
7. Andre Nebett(374 snaps)
8.Terell Mcclain(481 snaps)

edit: fug me can't post the entire chart, won't come over cleanly. Heres how they ranked overall anyways.

Boom. Like I said in the other thread Nebs and McClain are the bottom feeders of this unit.

And Ron Fields was cut after the 8th game of the season. From a defense that was ranked 28th.

I also like how #1 on this list just got cut and isn't on this team anymore.

No link because its premium content(well worth it imo). I also put the snap counts in there so you could judge their rankings with a grain of salt. Pressley for instance was probably not our best DT last year and his 40 snaps in no way supports him being our best.

Again I reccomend anyone who is really as passionate about the subject to drop 14.99 on nfl.com rewind and go re-watch the games and pay attention to the trenches. You will see soo much more than you thought you did watching the games live. Fua and Mcclain showed small imprvements each week. They both faced double teams, believe it or not. They were both moved around a poo ton, with Fua playing a 3-4 NT at times and Mcclain even lined up as a 3-4 defensive end. If you go back and watch the games you certainly will not walk away saying damn those rookies cost us the game, nor did they do anything to win it for us either. But when Thomas Davis and Beason were in our D looked pretty good in the front 7. Even when Beason went down and we still had Davis, Connor and Anderson our front 7 was still sufficient. After we lost Davis, things went down hill and we got crushed by runs to the outside where LB'S and Safeties missed tackles and it had nothing to do with being engulfed by interior lineman.

Neither one of them did anything spectacular per say but they were not as bad as many of you seem to remember. They both got more stout at the point of attack and filled clogs at times against the run They even pushed the pocket here and there, although they hardly scared a qb in doing something dumb. Our biggest problem against the run were guys bouncing to the outside and having our linebackers and safeties miss easy tackles and Hardy not being their to seal his edge. Over the course of the season our 4 lowest rated players in Run Defense were Pugh, Martin, Hardy, and Mcclain according to pff. Then of course we had such a shuffle at outside LB, limited snap counts(see Pressley)prevented them from drawing such negative grades as well.

Our LB core will make a huge difference in the entire Defenses perfomance.

Cool logic bro. I guess Charles Johnson and Steve Smith were wasted 3rd round picks after their rookie year too.

The fewer snaps they played, the better they were....
Idea! Each DT only gets to play 1 series per game

Everyone who post on here should go do 2 things(because you obvisouly love football and the panthers).

1. Get the premium PFF subscription. I think you can go monthly for as low as $9.99, I did the year so I can see next years stats for $30. It will tell you 10x more stats than you can find anywhere else(probably an understatement). It also has great sortable charts, so that you can compare our players to others in the league. Just make sure you study their grading scales and definitions so you can accurately process the info you see.

2. Get the NFL Rewind package and go back and watch the games with full dvr control, coaches cam, and no commericals so you can see all the action you missed when watching live. It will really open your eyes quite a bit as you can focus in on individual players much more so than you can when watching live. Much different perspective this way. Its only 14.99/month and if you dedicate some of your huddle time you can easily go back and watch each game. In addition, if you wanna know what kind of player Ron Edwards is or anyone else we pick up go and watch their games from past seasons.

So far $25 bucks you can know what your talking about much more accurately and it will lead to more and better x and o's talk on here. The more people that do it the better off the huddle will be.
