Do you realise that they supply statistics to NFL teams?

If this is true then Demario Pressley should have no problem making a team this year.

Proof?

It's on their FB page - New York Giants

I guess they could be lying, but if they were im pretty sure one of the multiple news reporters that are also using them would pick them up on it.

Do you ask your friends for a link if they say your fly is down?

I know this is somewhat sarcastic but you need to actually weight how much he played compared to the other players to make the comparison worthwhile. With less than 10% of McClains snaps, Pressley is more of a statistical anomaly.

Even more significant is the breakdown between the run game and passing game:

Ranked against the run (averaged to reduce impact of less snaps)
Frank Kearse
Sione Fua
Andre Neblett
DeMario Pressley
Ronald Fields
Terrell McClain
Jason Shirley

Ranked against the passing plays (again averaging snaps out)
DeMario Pressley
Jason Shirley
Terrell McClain
Frank Kearse
Andre Neblett
Sione Fua
Ronald Fields

As mentioned, Pressley is an anomaly due to having just 40 snaps.

how anyone thinks we can get decent ranks on DTs when we have so many injuries there and at LB is beyond me.

this ranking is not even useful if it were not skewed by the injuries and inexperience at two positions.

somebody was bored. really bored

ranking how they played has nothing to do with injuries at either DT or LB

Actually that's not true.

Their ranking system takes the individual player performance on every single play, regardless of the outcome. In the case of the DTs it would factor in their ability to control the point of attack, not over shoot a RB thinking its a passing play or not being able to shed a block to make a reachable tackle.

The performance of the LBs has absolutely no impact on the performance of the DTs, just the result of the play.

Likewise injuries has no impact on the individual performances of these players.

Again PFF grading systems are hit and miss so I rarely use them for stats like i don't use Bleacherreport for news.
