Just like the ACC. Go abhead and bury your head in the sand. When you pull it out fSu clemson and nc state will be gone.
NC State isn't going to leave UNC & Duke.

I dont get this SEC - Big 12 agreement. Are they just bypassing the BCS? Whats the point of this agreement if there wont be a game if one conference is in the championship game? What if there is a playoff, and is this the first step towards a playoff? Why is the SEC doing this, they have at least one team in the title game every year
And whats this talk of NC State leaving- whats the point of a megaconference if you're going to let State in?
The BCS is still going to be around but jsut a smaller version. With 4 team playoff instead of 8 it their will be less BCS games. What caused this was the PAC12 and Big Ten not want to give up the Rose Bowl. So the SEC and Big XII said fine if you have the Rose Bowl we are going to have our own Bowl Game but even better. Yeah the number 1 team in each conference will go to the playoffs but The Campionship Bowl will get the 2nd rank team from either conference. It basically will be the Sugar and Fiesta Bowl without the at large teams.
The real kicker is that all the money will go to the SEC and BigXII instead of the BCS schools. So each school in those conference will get more money than the rest of the BCS Schools. Some rumors are it could be close to 2million per school. It also get rid of the middlemen of the Bowl committees of the Fiesta and Sugar bowl.
Now why would this effect the ACC? Because you look at this way. ACC jsut redid their contracts with the networks. each school will receive 17 million average over the life of that contract plus giving up their tier 3 rights. You look at the Big XII and they are finalizing their contract right now rumored to be 20 million per school right now. Rumor is that can get bumped up to 22 million with the right schools joing the league. So each school gets 22 million and that is not even including the money from this one bowl game. PLus I wouldnt be surprised if the conference do the top 4 bowls they play in this way. The commisioner of the Big XII already hinted to other conference "you better get your bowls line up".

1, Of the schools in NC, State would fit the best with Big XII like of thinking.
2. Big XII would get a piece of the NC television market
3. Recruiting
Also this hasnt been about politics for a along time this is all about money and seperating the haves and have nots. If any football school in the ACC wants to compete they are realising they are in the wrong conference for that.

I just dont understand how all of these moves make sense. Its like everyone is making moves assuming they are going to make more money, but surely somebody is losing a bunch of money due to all these changes. I assume the bowl games will lose out, is there something they could do or are they doomed to a slow death
Another thought- with only 4 megaconferences, wouldnt it be easier for an outside team to compete for a title? Everyone seems to agree that there will be some good teams left out, and with a playoff system it doesnt seem too far-fetched for an outside team to put together a decent schedule and sneak in

As far as NCState 3 reasons they would get in.

NC State can't compete in the SEC or Big 12.

Duke could win the BCS Championship in 2-3 years "with the right recruits."
