Oh no, Alex Smith said something negative.

I'm wondering why y'all care.

Tell us, why don't you?

This comes from a game manager, not a QB, a game manager...In addition, their defense kept them in games. We didn't lose games because our offense couldn't score. Our QB put us in situations to win, however there were times that our offense could've sustained a few more drives, but our defense fell short, not Cam.

I thought Cam struggled in many 4th quarters last year. Or was I watching a different Cam Newton play?

Probably a different team too. I remember terrible defense giving away leads and 30 yard bomb plays when we only needed a yard on 3rd down.

I'd prefer wins but we were winning most games going into the half so...

how many games were we down by 10+ points at half time? Not many that I can remember.

We lost a lot of leads late. I'm not sure what games Alex Smith has been watching.

<<non-butthurt rebuttal.

Pssssst... He kinda has a point

Yeah and he kinda had a defense too... Cam didn't. Hard to win game when the opposition can score at will...

Alex Smith is an average NFL QB at best...

I want Cam to take a big fat dump right in Alex Smith's mouth.

What an ignorant statement.

Cam 1st half performances were mostly great. His 3rd Quarter performances, for the most part let the team down. The defense was not good enough for the offense to have a off quarter, so when Cam had a lull(made rookie-like mistakes), the opponents usually took over and won the game from there.

If Smith just said I prefer wins over stats, I could live with that but comparing himself to Cam in that analogy was just plain ignorant and borderline moronic.

If this is a discussion of big passing totals... you can't have one without the other. Alex Smith as the BEST defense in the NFL, and the reason that they weren't the best team in the NFL is because of Alex Smith is only going to give you so much every game. It is very easy to say who cares about big passing totals when your defense is awesome.

Its just like the The Golden Calf of Bristol thing. Hey look how many wins The Golden Calf of Bristol has?? When its a one posession game for 60 minutes, its anyone's ball game. What if the Patriots defense keep all of their opponents under 10 points? Its be like a game of Madden.
