Cam's Popularity In Atlanta At A Braves Game

The only things there's more of than black people in Atlanta are Auburn grads. As soon as they walk across the stage to get their management degree or MBA they keep walking east down 20 until they get an entry level job at some accounting firm.

It's basically "love the Falcons, but cheer for Cam."

Also keep in mind Cam is from a really shitty part of Atlanta and is already rebuilding the entire town down there. He's kind of a god.

Gotta also remember most of the Falcons fans that have put a horrible taste in our mouths were Vick fans, not Falcon fans. Cam also appeals to urban youth and fans like Vick did, but not in a thuggish way, more like how Obama appeals to urban youth. A big portion of these fans are switching over to being Cam fans.

I love when people that don't like to wear jerseys have this elitist attitude towards people that enjoy wearing them.

I saw you there yesterday while I was in line to buy some very overpriced stadium food! I almost yelled "Go Cam!" Hope the Panthers play better than the Braves...That was the worst Braves game I've ever been to in person!

If you are a man and wear a jersey in public, let alone the jersey of a team that isn't at the public event you are at, you deserve to be treated like poo. Laughed at, booed, things thrown at you, etc etc etc.

You're a douche if you wear another grown man's costume in public, you're beyond words if you wear one to the wrong sport or game.

How so? Cam wasn't as clean cut and well spoken as he is now. I mean the dude stole a laptop from another student. Cam turned his entire life around and is on top of the world through self-motivation and hard work. I guess the Obama reference doesn't really fit in, but if you've ever seen Obama give a speech to inner city kids he makes it very clear that the path to success isn't on the streets being "hard" or whatever and that it takes hard work and motivation. Cam's speech to those kids at the Under Armour high school all star game (I think thats the one) outlined very similar points.

Whether that makes any sense or not, I work in a restaurant and play basketball regularly with inner city people in the Capital District of New York (Albany, Schenectady, Troy) and just about all of them are huge fans of Cam.

Glad to hear Cam's helping out in the College Park and Riverdale area. My lady's from College Park, and when I was down there it looked like it needed a lot of work done. Love to hear stories of how some of these athletes who are able to make it out the neighborhood, go back and try to make it better for those still there. Atlanta should be proud of Cam
