I still don't get these idiots who believe he's the best lyricist out there (especially considering the rumors that he has a ghost writer)... I grew up when Cash Money first blew up. I remember Lil Wayne for Bling Bling, The Block Is Hot, etc.
So, all this crap now just shows me how dumb our society is getting. He sucks.

One of the worst stories ever, one of the worst rappers ever. F*ck Lil Wayne.

People like popular things. It's human nature. I've never heard any of Little Wayne's songs but I'm sure the tunes are catchy and have high production values. I don't think it has anything to do with people being stupid. They just haven't been exposed to enough music yet probably.
Then again, some pop tunes are simply catchy and fun to listen to. I listen to a lot of Japanese pop songs from anime and dramas. The songs aren't the works of geniuses but they're enjoyable to listen to. Often the melodies from Japanese pop songs are actually created by very talented composers who work behind the scenes.
