So does this count as his first to the NFL or does it count as his second even thought his first happened in college? I ask because doesn't a second one usually result in a 2 game suspension?

I think that it won't count as his second in the NFL, because he got caught before he was an NFL athlete. A DUI maybe will end up in a 1 game suspension, though. Especially an aggravated one.

Wow...I just can't understand how these guys can't take the simple step to avoid something so stupid. I realize that people screw up, and nobody is perfect, but this type thing just doesn't make sense. On top of that there are no real consequences for the NFL athlete. Teams rarely do or say anything about it and the fines/SR-22 insurance aren't anything that cause any sort of discomfort for the offending player. The penalties involved with a DUI are back-breaking to an average citizen and in many cases can even result in being terminated from their job. The NFL player simply resorts to something that should have been done in the first place: hiring a driver when they go out for the evening. Having said that, this kid is on the road to ruin IMO. Or worse, he'll end up injuring or killing somebody.

Haha I love it.

They do a special on how great this guy is because he goes to visit a girl at a hospital, and then he gets his 2nd DUI only about a month after the draft.

Cam's pre-draft image was a laptop stealing gangster who's daddy paid for him to go to Auburn and was notorious for the "I wanna be a icon and a entertainer" quote.

And now look at him.

Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't find a bag of weed or an unregistered hand gun.

*awaits MrTD or another huddler to come in and call him "thug" to flex moral superiority*

Another failed attempt by KT to incite another race argument. If nothing else, you are definitely consistent.

Consistently ignorant and racist....but consistent none the less.

No, no, no, you got it all wrong. Auburn "allegedly" paid Newton's pops for his services... :cam:

Remember that they are still just average people. We all do stupid things like this. I bet you would be hard pressed to find anyone over 21 on this board who has not gotten behind the wheel after having a few too many. Lord knows I have done it.

The penalties and consequences (not to mention the possibility of injuring/killing someone) are great. But just like everyone else, you never think you are too drunk.

This does NOT mean that Blackmon has any type of character issues. It only means that he made a bad judgement call

This is his 2nd DUI, not sure if he's learning his lesson.
