Everything was going okay this year in the field until.........the hail. I've weathered the cold and heat snaps in the mountains. I've dealt with the heavy rains and washes, but then a couple of weeks ago we had hail and that did it for the Brocoli, Cauliflower, Spinach, and some tomatoes. The beans didn't get much damage. The winter squash hasn't come up yet. All in all, it's a disaster. Sometimes I wish I had crop insurance. I don't have a desire to get in bed with the government. Maybe some huddlers, but not the government.

Sorry to hear that. Farming is a tough business which is incredibly unappreciated. But one that we could not survive without.

Hope the summer brings better thing for you.
