Did you never watch Steve McNair?

Yes. He wasn't a Cam Newton type freak. He didn't present the matchup problems Newton does....No QB in NFL history has.

That doesn't make Newton better or anything yet....but no QB has ever had his size, ability and been the threat he is as a runner and passer.

McNair wasn't bigger than just about every defender opposite him.

Josh Freeman is nowhere near the freak athlete Newton is....

You know that 50+ yard TD run Cam had against Tampa....Freeman can't come close to duplicating poo like that.

yeah freeman's generally good to slip out of the pocket and grab a first down or eat up some yards when the middle of the field is open thanks to DBs and LBs dropping back on long downs.

taking off in traffic for 50 yards and flat out beating linebackers and defensive backs in a footrace to the end zone? lol no.

Cam is as good of a runner as he is a thrower..Which both is good?

well yeah.

i don't even necessarily think of him as a "running quarterback" because that label implies that that's the extent of his skill set.

i've got grits blocked again so i can't see most of the garbage he's been posting lately but i did happen to see this gem...

I believe he is on his way to becoming the most popular player in the NFL.
lol

but he is a redskins homer so i can understand some, but rg3 is nowhere near as marketable as newton and will always be living in newton's shadow. keep on buying that hype, though.
