Do you not think we'll split the Staals up and put them together for power plays?
JR hinted that we will put them together if we can acquire another second line center and a winger.

Nice. I'm glad Rutherford is willing to go after good players in free agency. Our division is so close that a few additional players could make a world of difference next season. We could easily go from last in the division to top 2.

Any chance we go after Schultz?
I spoke to soon.
Chip Alexander tweeted today

One man's opinion: Canes have interest in Justin Schultz, Jason Garrison. Also will make offer for Ryan Suter come July 1

One man's opinion: Parise will be out of Canes' price range. Possible interest in bringing back Whitney
Johnnyg Hockey @JohnnygHockey
@ice_chip some rumors have #Canes still in Nash talks, what is your opinion on that?
Chip Alexander @ice_chip
@JohnnygHockey Some truth to that, IMO

However if they make the Nash trade, lots of people going to be upset at what it's going to take to land him.
They'll make the push for Suter and a couple of second tier FA's to go along with him and probably end up with Nash.

The team is still going hard after a trade for Nash.

Just don't give up any good players please! We can't improve if we gain talent from elsewhere only to give up talent we already have.

Couple of wingers and a prospect or two is what it will take to accomplish that trade.
They'd have to give up a couple of good prospects in Murphy and Dalpe or something similar. I think Murphy would be the focal point on what was going back.
Probably end up being the 2013 first rounder, Murphy, Dalpe, McBain and one of the top wingers on the team to get Nash.
