The last AMD chip I bought, after years of supporting AMD, was the Phenom II x4 Black Box edition. I still have it in a rig that I'm letting my father in law use. It's been a good chip since I got it about 4 years ago.

my current processor is an AMD dual core. if i were to buy a new machine now, i'd go intel fo sho

It's also got a geforce gtx460cuda 1gb gpu. I've had it just a little over a year now.

it's pretty easy to prove that Intel is the better processor. Not a matter of opinion. Not many applications that I would choose AMD for.

I know that but I just didn't feel like arguing with the guy. It seemed like no matter what I would have said, it wouldn't have changed his opinion about Intel chips.
