Early in the morning at the start of an OTA day, the team was assembling for a meeting. Defensive tackle Brian Price told rookie safety Mark Barron that he was sitting in Price's seat. In short order, Barron was getting pummeled by Price. The third-year tackle was said to have gotten in a good number of punches before teammates pulled him off Barron. Both players were removed from the meeting as Barron's face was said to be bloodied.

yikes. what a fuged up situation. price is the guy who is adopting his recently deceased sister's kids. he's also the guy who got sent to the locker room for a reeeeeally stupid personal foul in the bucs' game against the panthers in tampa last season. can't imagine the storms going on inside his mind, but you can't wail on a teammate for something as stupid as "sitting in my seat." hopefully he'll get the help he needs and the bucs can get back to being disfunctional the old fashioned way with him.

I imagine that dude is under a ton of pressure. I'd hate to see him lose his job over a good deed.

It didn't seem to hamper Steve Smith's career.

If Price is punished it will be for punching a teammate during a meeting, not for doing a good deed.

Yeah, sounds like he's had a rough personal stretch and was pissed off and Barron just happened to get the brunt of it... sounds like Price needs a break for a while, and owes Barron an apology.

Can't even imagine what's going through his head. It's rough. Losing your third sibling? Harsh.

I feel bad for Price, what with all he's going through. And I know he's going through a lot of emotional strifes but still you can't beat the poo out of a team mate over a seat.

I like the guy, wanted to draft him a few years back. He played well last year especially with the injuries he had on his body. I think he'll be a solid DT for the bucs.

I mean unless they want to cut him. I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him here. He's not a bad kid, just has a lot of poo going on in his life and handling it the wrong way. He needs support in his life tbh. And he'd bolster our run defense but now this is probably just wishful thinking haha.

Shitty thing to do but I'm the last person you'll catch on a [fire him / cut him / put him in prison / suspend him indefinitely / ban him / he's a bastard he should die] bandwagon considering I didn't feel the same about Steve Smith when he attacked a teammate (twice).

I can embrace my inner hypocrite every now and again but that'd be too much even for me. And for the record: I'd hate to see him lose his career (or even a significant portion of it) because of this.
