Korea in general or the Lotte hotel?

Korea in general is quite expensive, but the street markets area great place to get weird cheap crap.

The Lotte hotel chain is pretty damn expensive. Luckily the inlaws were buyin'.

Here is more pretty scenery from Jeju island.

The sculpture is actually a volcanic tube, naturally formed, and they plant flowers in them.

The science experiment is actually the farming of "100 year mountain ginseng".

Why wait the actual 100 years for this stuff, when you can do it in a lab and make the big bucks?!

We took a cruise off the shore of the island.

More rock formations.

Believe it or not, a dude farms the top of the middle picture cliff.
what he grows and how the heck he gets it to market is beyond me. Guess land is at a premium.

We took a walk around the island.
The orange buckets were the property of these little old ladies that will clean the assorted sea critters for you right there, put a bit of hot pepper sauce on 'em, and you can have a shore lunch right there with the halmonis (Halmoni is Korean for grandma).

Good eye.

They did NOT want to be photographed.

Neither did the DMZ guards, which I will post later.

In fact, I could have had my camera taken away.

You snapped pics of DMZ guards who didn't want them taken? Ballsy move, Ep.
