The RAISE Act has a very simple goal: "To amend the National Labor Relations Act to permit employers to pay higher wages to their employees."

Now...who'd be against this?

The unions.

The "RAISE Act," introduced by Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), is yet another attempt to undermine the rights of workers to bargain collectively. The bill, which goes to a vote today, would take away employees' rights to negotiate contracts that create a uniform, fair process for granting wage increases. Employers would be allowed to ignore what they agreed to in collective bargaining agreements - and that's not fair.

You WILL give everyone raises the same...regardless of performance....anything over and above will not be tolerated as it shows favoritism.

yes, the unions are keeping wages artificially low.

that's what's happening. Companies would really like to pay their employees more... they just can't.

Unions keep wages artificially equal...despite performance and concentrating more on seniority.

unions don't allow companies to use high unemployment as leverage to lower wages, they don't allow companies to leverage younger worker's wages against older workers.

Unless I'm mistaken, Florida is already a right to work state...If companies really want to elevate people and pay them more, I'm sure they could find a way to do that.

those unions seriously take care of their people. I've run productions where I've had to deal with them and I absolutely HATED it. But they take care of their people.

Of course... be a lot easier if I were getting that "equal pay focusing on seniority" thing though.

You aren't manufacturing...and the crux of Rubio's targetted subset of union workers.
