haha I feel you on that.I wish this had happened 10 years ago before I got there.
I drove through campus a few days ago and its really incredible how much it has changed since I was a freshman in 2005.
Had it happened 20 years ago, we'd probably be in the Big East right now. We were a candidate in 03, but were left out due to lack of football. The Catholic schools pushed for the inclusion of the catholic basketball schools over us and St. Louis (Jesuit).

The field house was completed this week and control turned over yesterday.
The bowl is completely finished.
They are now spreading gravel on the field for the subsurface of the field.
The field turf will start going down on Tuesday.

Looks great. Glad you UNCC fans can finally have some college football to pull for.

Nearing completion. Most of the turf is down, but it still needs the logo at midfield, CHARLOTTE in the endzones, and the yardline numbers.
We held our first practice today.

Word has it we're finalizing a deal to play a BCS team at home in 2015, but no word on who it was. I immediately though Wake Forest due to our ties to that program, but they have a full 2015 schedule. Duke too. Not sure what other BCS programs might be willing to play us at home in what will probably only be a 25,000 seat stadium at that time. It certainly won't be UNC, NC State, Clemson, or USC.

Gonna be pretty epic! It's a shame I probably won't remember the first game.
I feel ya. I'll probably be double fisting yager bottles by 9:00 AM. I'm going to ask my sister to help me stay sober at the tailgate.

speaking of tailgates, there is a one year to go tailgate this Friday at the school. Some alums are getting started around 11 and then the school will have a function with food and drinks starting at 4.I feel ya. I'll probably be double fisting yager bottles by 9:00 AM. I'm going to ask my sister to help me stay sober at the tailgate.
