Did legs with a dude I used to play ball with today...

We were both trying to outdo each other... I felt like I was gonna puke after so must've been a good workout.

Ha that was my leg day. I was glad to do seated calf raises just to sit down.

had a good chest workout last night... also decided to shed a few pounds to see if I can get more than an outline of abs... 1 pound down.

We squatted yesterday... the weight is no problem with my legs, but I'm still leary of my back. My last set I did 365 4x and it was no problem, but I need to do it more before I try to go higher.  I need to strengthen all those support muscles in my back more.

Step down the weight and  up the reps... that makes my back burn like crazy

...and the legs too I'm sure.

 

I need to do that... but as I mentioned earlier, the guy I worked out with last night and I were pushing each other, so the higher weight was kind of a consequence of that, which isn't necessarily a bad thing since I didn't hurt anything this time.

I got this app I'm doing.  I'm up to 185 sit ups that I knocked out yesterday.  It makes all other exercises much easier.

So how does it work?  Do you do sit ups whenever you can during the day? does it detect your motion or do you manually input?

It just provides the reps for you to do with a timer in between sets.  I think it took about 25 minutes to complete yesterdays workout.  It will start you off doing like 5 sets of 5 or so and just keeps increasing the amount you do until you get up to 200 in a workout.

My fiance said my upper body is big enough and to not get any bigger.  I'm not huge by any means...IS SHE TRIPPIN WHAT DOES SHE MEAN?

 

I've been working out consistently the past 10 months and gained about 10 pounds of muscle up to about 180lb.

 

Guess I can try to focus on getting the "shredded" look.  But I know that involves cutting down body fat, problem is I love to eat country food and bojangles.

all women say stuff like this, ignore her.

 

She will say this and then when you do get bigger, she will be all over you.

 

moral of the story is, women don't know what they like.

My wife has this thing about veins... she says "you can get bigger, but I don't want to see veins"...

 

So usually when I get home after the gym pumped, or if she comes to the gym, I make sure and point out veins.
