i added diamond pushups and crucifix pushups to my chest press/pec fly supersets. can definitely tell the next day

edit: crucifix, not superman

if you really want a good burn, elevate your feet 24-30 inches on diamonds

yeah i'm not there yet.   just doing them with a 4-6 inch elevation is pretty rough.  mostly on my triceps.

Anybody ever used something like this?

top-squat-top.jpg

This one's called the top squat.  Gives you an alternative for holding the bar while doing squats.

I'd like to try this, but it's not cheap.

Yeah... that's not it.  I like the squat it just kills my f'ing shoulders.

They got a new leg press machine at my gym too and it's not very comfortable.

seems like they both do the same thing to me.  just one is safer to push yourself on.

working out isn't supposed  be comfortable!

Agree, but that new press machine seems to want to round my back more than I like... it's just weird.

I like squats too because they make you use all those stabilizer muscles.

yeah but at our age we really have to start looking out for ourselves. i wonder if it forces you to curve your back more for a reason...?

Agree again... and I'm not talking about squatting 500 lbs.  I can do 275 pretty safely, and wouldn't get above that much...

It rolls my back because it's a POS.  The old one didn't.
