6'6 250 lbs. 4.6 speed. 4000 yds 30+ TDs.
Offense that was dead last turned into top 5.
Who wants to argue footwork and mechanics?
Oh ya stoner420 does. It's for the birds man. Seriously? Guy is an offensive machine. Get over it

woah wait a minute guys the only good throws in the NFL are the ones that are 105% perfect and on the money...nothing else is acceptable....
no way that giving ur player a chance to make a play is a good throw..NO SHOT!! it has to be perfection all the time!
Calm down man. And 420 is right, Cam does need to keep his feet under him more, step into his throws, and he does need to work on his touch passes.
That said, he is a great football player, and I can't wait for him to master the throwing side of things.

The thing is, he makes some good points, but he draws HUGE conclusions from them when he will totally ignore the same factors for other players he likes... this was apparent in the Andy Dalton vs Cam Newton post he made mid season last year.

Yes Coach Fuzz.
You guys know exactly what he needs to work on. Funny you guys say that compared to what Jaws says. I mean he only played in the NFL..what does he know.

Footwork? Watch him roll to his left and heave it down field 65 yds to smith. Grade that footwork...

don't be so sensitive. I understand getting annoyed at KC Joyner saying he's overrated (how can a one year player, who broke rookie records, really be overrated? very few people have him THAT high in their QB lists), but there's no reason to get pissy at other posters who acknowledge Cam still has some working to do (and he knows it, and he's working).

Not a chance. All homerism aside, he still had one of the best rookie seasons ever. If he comes out this year and blows, and then he still gets the attention, then yeah. Right now as it stands, he is considered a top 10 and in some cases a top 5 qb. You are also supposed to get better with experience, so there is no way anyone could think he is over rated. /thread
Vick's game? Why would he do that....they aren't alike. Vick is a slim china doll that runs away from people with a big arm. Cam presents a completely unique matchup problem than Vick.

You watching all the games makes Newton a touch passer? Your first set of examples were bad throws, LaFell with Washington and Olsen with Green Bay are better. Even with these throws he is still inaccurate because he does not keep his feet under him. Since you watched ALL the games go back and look at what I am talking about.
Prime Example of why you should NOT do drugs.....you end up sounding like this idiot.

How am I wrong? The first set of examples were bad passes, go watch them and tell me different. I want Newton to go down as the greatest but you guys are blind as hell if you do not see what I see.

"Evaluating from last year, I’d say we see where we want him to work on his footwork, going under center, planting and stepping into his throws, he just needs to be more consistent with it."
But I'm just a stoner who doesn't know what I'm talking about.
