Hawks are fools if they think they're gonna get Dwight to sign an extension with them. They can clear cap space all they want, he's not coming.

He's going to the Nets, the Magic have already started caving. I expect the deal to be done by this time tomorrow....

Its somethin fishy bout how Lopez is cooperating and helping the Nets with that. He's a FA but has to agree to a sign and trade for the deal to go thru. He has nothing to gain by doing that, so it looks suspect. How can they afford Howard, D Will, Wallace, and Deron under the new CBA?

a team of Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Dwight Howard, and G-Force would be pretty nasty, but they still have to go through the Heat and Lebron seems to be just tapping into his peak

Yeah that potential New Jersey starting lineup is nasty good but they will have zero room to sign any backups worth a damn. A strong bench is needed for playoff runs.

Wallace is part of the assets going back to Orlando from everything I've seen.

How can they afford it? Luxury tax. It'll be worth the insane amount they'll owe if they get to the Finals. And it's a drop in the bucket to the billionaire owner.

So the plan is to sign and trade Kris Humphries and Lopez? This trade is going to be very difficult to work without Wallace- I'm pretty sure they cant go over the luxury tax when making this trade because it would require them to send back more money in contracts than they have right now (125% vs 150% if you arent over the tax), and if they want to re-sign Deron then they have to keep his cap hold on the books

Wallace IS likely in it because it will be a cold day in hell before the Nets find someone willing to help them out and take Hedo....

They just got Deron, 5 years $100 mil. They now have about $230 million in contracts to 3 guys (all over 28), and want to trade for Dwight on top of that. DAYUM
