So DJ White is not under contract, and the QO's made to Augustine and Brown mean they are only ours if another team does not offer more, or do they not have to accept those offers and go unrestricted?

D.J. White was a restricted free agent but since we didn't present him with a qualifying offer, he is now an unrestricted free agent.

The qualifying offers to Augustin (no e) and Brown keep them under contract as long as the Bobcats choose to match any offer that either one might get (if they do happen to get any).

The only way that Brown or Augustin could have become unrestricted free agents is if the Bobcats chose not give them qualifying offers.

Augustin may receive some interest from the Lakers or another team that is in the market for a point guard, but other then that the Bobcats will most likely lock down both with a two or three year deal.

Note: The only players that are eligible to be restricted free agents are those that have four years or less of experience.

Im not seeing why we tendered Derrick Brown. I love his play, but with MKG and Jeff Taylor, you would think we were going to give the majority of PT to those guys and DBrown wouldnt want to sit behind them.
