I'm hoping and rooting for Lamont to emerge out of the rubble, and show a lil something. We all have our camp favorites, and he's mine. Plus, it doesn't hurt that he's a 6'5 receiver with 4.5 speed.

yeah, it's the offseason. Every player on every team is suddenly VERY capable of being a star.

Picture the following lineup with this offense. Cam, Smitty, Olsen, Stewart and Tolbert

In theory, any WR worthy of a spot on an NFL team should be able to make some nice plays with this group on the field. This is a fairly potent offense.

Of course you get the randoms that people will joke about and compare to past hopefuls...its the offseason. You hope some guy who probably won't make it makes it.

I somewhat prefaced the op like that but it was while also saying to consider the situation this year compared to pretty much every postseason prior under our former regimes. Just saying, you never know...and of course its fun to joke about when the "favorite" or whatever is cut. Something to talk about. GIven our new offense...something like that is more likely to happen whether be Barnidge, Pilares, Adams, etc.

Can I give a double pie for the pic??? But on the subject, I think that most fans is pulling for Gettis, and so am I. Although I'm not sure Rivera is pulling for him. We've signed multiple WR's, like we're looking for something that we don't have. I'll be waiting patiently to find out... Ooops, I just lied, I just be waiting.

Gettis wasn't that good. It was like the guy that scores 20 a game on a bad NBA team. Someone has to touch the ball. We will see but I want Cam to get Plaxico/VJax big fast boy to play the no.1 role in the future. Lafell can be the no.2 and Steve can split the slot with Joe Adams.

No one on our current roster can be the guy I want so for this year maybe Kealoha gets some catches. Maybe Joe Adams. I really don't see any Victor Cruz's on our team. Those guys are really hard to find.

Great WRs come in all shapes and sizes. You don't necessarily need a giant to play it and for every Vincent Jackson there are like 30 Ramses Bardens.

Well I was referring to wr's, but how can we forget a few of hurneys qb's before cam. Stefon lefors, brett basanez, tony pike. Oh man those boys must be tearing up the league elsewhere. Or not lol.

Also don't underestimate the fact that now that the QB position has been stabilized and the offensive philosophy has changed to a more pass-oriented style, the WRs we bring in are going to be more productive. Don't count out LaFell breaking 1000 this season

I'll take Pilares as our emerging #3 that slowly works his way up like Smitty did. I know everyone is on the Adams train, but I do recall a similar outcry when we took Pilares and people saying that he reminded them of Smith at Utah, and for good reason. I think our offense could resemble the old Patriots winning teams and even Pittsburgh when they had one key WR and several other guys that spread the wealth in yards and touchdowns because their QB play was so solid. I think Adams will in time do well here, but right now, Pilares is one year ahead and has a very similar skillset.
