This could prolong Kobe's career, if he doesn't HAVE to handle it so often.

Huge upgrade for them, Nash is a beast.

Barnes is a FA, Grant Hill seems like a formality so he will be a decent addition to the bench even at his age....

Eh, Grant Hill would be a good addition but the Lakers need a spark off of that bench in a big way.

They're still in the running for Nick Young from what I've read. He's still weighing if he would rather take the mini mid level to try and win a ring....

One things for sure, they definitely aren't done improving this team....

Completely forgot about this, but interesting for sure....

The Orlando Magic has made offers for Nash in the past and sources close to the situation say that they’ll attempt to acquire the 16-year veteran in the next two weeks. Dwight Howard has asked the front office to pursue Nash and sources close to Howard believe he won’t exercise his early termination option if the team is able to acquire Nash and re-sign him this summer.

Adding Nick Young would be a perfect addition for them IMO.

Yea it's not likely, but he's definitely a guy that's still on their radar. The Lakers do have the draw of Young's home on their side though....

So LBJ gets his ring because Rose gets hurt, & now Kobe will be back to running the NBA? Sorry Bron.

You do realize that you could say that kind of thing for almost every NBA title winning team, right?

Its not like the Rose led Bulls have ever made the conference finals. Plus he is 0-2 against Lebron right now in the playoffs

Apparently, Nash and Kobe spoke with Dwight Howard and DH said he would sign an extension with the Lakers if they trade for him.

Hmmm.......in one way, this is exciting. In a Bobcats fan viewpoint - THIS FRIGGING SUCKS.

Not sure that reports true or not, but it definitely looks like D12 will be a Laker soon....also a report that the Lakers aren't requiring him to sign an extension either. Never really understood why they were tbh, it's not like he's going to leave the Adidas money in L.A., and another 25-30 mil on the table to sign with a team that doesn't hold his bird rights. Especially after he likely wins a title with Mamba, Nash, Pau and the Lakers....

Why? By the time the bobcats are even sniffing the playoffs, Kobe and Nash will be way over the hill. Even trading for Howard, this isnt exactly a team built for the future.

I would love to see Dwight running the pick and roll with Nash. Would be much more interesting than Nash/ Bynum imo, Bynum is more suited to a half court game

lol, we could feasibly be like the second best team in our division with the departures of the Hawks' roster, and potential Dwight leaving.
